Product Details:
The velvet crab is the biggest swimming crab in Scotland and is caught along Hebrides Islands. It is also known as Devil crab and Lady crab. It moves fast and is quite aggressive, mostly located on substrates of rocks at around 25m as well as offshore at depths of up to 100m. They consume animal material with brown algae being the main food source. It also feeds on seaweed and is a versatile predator.
The velvet crab is full of protein, calcium, zinc and vitamin A.
